Welcome to forkonthemove
I’m an unabashed foodie and intrepid traveller with a wide range of interests and experience – I have climbed Kilimanjaro and swum with sharks, though not the nasty, man-eating kind. I’ve lived and worked in developing countries like Tanzania and Brazil. My writing and editing experience has ranged from professional magazines to consumer publications.
Forkonthemove seemed a good name for a magazine whose writing encompasses food and travel. This site is so I can tell everyone about delicious new goodies and incredible, amazing and endlessly fascinating parts of the world I keep discovering.

I’m an active member of the Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) and the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW). And I volunteer at the Royal Ontario Museum where I learn about all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures, places and cultures.
